Downtown Bradenton blends the quaintness of generations past with
the energy of a thriving hub where industry and the arts are
conducted side by side. Along Old Main Street, visitors to the area
experience a selection of specialty shops, restaurants and gift and
antique stores.
 The Village of the Arts District is the newest jewel in the crown of
downtown Bradenton. The redeveloped area features a community where
artists live, work and sell their wares. The district sells
affordable fine art, handmade crafts, custom-designed jewelry and
eclectic antiques. The River Walk area of downtown features a
colorful fountain and waterfront park area, where visitors and
residents gather for special events and productions. Streetscapes
with lush tropical landscaping, period streetlights and numerous
benches complete the neighborhood atmosphere.

Riverfront Theater, Twin Dolphin Marina, the Parker Manatee Aquarium

present and future of South Florida. At the Parker Manatee Aquarium,
visitors young and old delight in the many different opportunities
to view resident manatee Snooty.
Interpretive and interactive
programs on manatees are presented several times daily, and include
an endangered manatee exhibit.
